Your Personal Data & Privacy Statement

We collect personal data such as name, address, email address, phone number(s) and date of birth. We also hold information on allergies and health issues. We will never ever pass your details on to or sell on to third parties. We will keep your information for as long as you remain a client. We will use your information to contact you to confirm appointments or answer any queries and to record all treatments undertaken. Information on allergies will be recorded and referred to prior to your appointment to ensure we meet with your needs, and any information we gather from you during your visit will be recorded on your personal client information card, which is kept in a secure location and accessible to persons other than those directly associated with The BeautyHut and authorised to do so. A copy of this information may be stored electronically in a secure file location.

We may periodically ask you to confirm your details are up to date, correct and accurate. We never buy from or sell to, personal data from/to other organisations. We will notify you as soon as we become aware of any such data breaches and provide details on what data has been breached or compromised.

We will conduct regular reviews of client files and will keep your data on file for a maximum of 24 calendar months in cases of dormancy. (If we do not hear from you or take a booking within 24 months your file will be securely destroyed)

If you would like access or view the information that we hold on you (the client)

You (the client) have the right to obtain the following information we hold on you –

  • confirmation that we are collecting and processing your personal data
  • a copy of your personal data file or client information card
  • other supplementary information we may hold on you

You (the client) have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO if you believe you have justification or serious concerns about how we handle your personal data. If you would like to obtain a copy of your personal data held on file, we would advise doing so by either email or by writing to us, stating in the title ‘subject access request’. We aim to provide you with all relevant information in a timely manner, normally within one week of receiving the request, but no longer than one month (this will be calculated from the day after we receive the request. If this falls on a weekend or public holiday, then the next working day will apply).

We will record all details of any request we receive, particularly those made by telephone or in person. We may request further information from you to confirm your identity before processing any such request.
